DIY Beeswax Wraps

Here's a recipe on how to create your own Beeswax Wraps!

I used to make them with the iron method, until I have ran out of parchment paper and realised I could easily avoid using it and simplify the method for making wraps at home.

Procedure:

1. You can simply add a piece of fabric into a ceramic tray with some wax on it.

2. Pop them in a hot oven, turned off, after you've cooked something, to save up on energy or let the wax melt at about 180C/356F or on a medium/high heat.

👉Keep an eye on it! It will melt super fast, in like 1-2 minutes.

Notes:

Will the tray get messy? Yes - so unless you want to use parchment paper, you'll need to wipe off any wax that has melted onto the tray straight away while still liquid, and then wash the tray with hot soapy water.

These wraps also make a sustainable and useful handmade gift idea as they can be used to cover up any food leftover!
